Truly flexible eCommerce

Drupal Commerce Technologies

Drupal Commerce technologies are those of Drupal 7, orchestrated the Drupal way. This makes for a very flexible and tightly maintained stack that is perfect for both small- and large-scale eCommerce projects.

Drupal

Drupal is written in PHP, without classes, and borrows multiple concepts from various programming paradigms. Drupal has its own coding standards to ensure maintainability, compliance, and scalability; it also has dedicated security teams. Drupal is a mature, sophisticated, and well-maintained platform that is ideally suited for Drupal Commerce.

Entities, Rules, Views

Drupal Commerce draws specifically on Drupal's Entities, Rules, and Views. Drupal's flexibility is heavily based on these components, allowing highly configurable product displays, checkout processes, and overall customer experience.

Apache, MySQL and beyond

Drupal Commerce runs primarily with Apache and MySQL on Linux, Mac OS and Windows. Drupal Commerce also runs on Windows with IIS and SQL Server. Additional database support includes SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite, and Oracle.

Cloud-Ready

Drupal Commerce is compatible with cloud-based infrastructure, specifically Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

Delivery Infrastructure

Drupal Commerce is able to run with HTTP accelerators, in-memory caching systems, and content delivery networks. Varnish, Memcached, and Akamai, among others, are supported.
